Elephants are herbivores consuming close to 200 pounds of live vegetation daily. In addition to the large quantity of grasses, tree bark and root plants they consume daily, elephants search out a wide variety of fruits and vegetables which provide vitamins and other essential nutrients. All of our girls love fresh fruits and vegetables.
What they do not find growing wild in the habitat we supplement from our local produce supplier.
